Yew forest restorations work
In the winter of 2013-2014, work begun on improving yew forests. The work is based on habitat restoration actions focused on regulating the strong competition from deciduous trees and pines on yews and other rare trees and shrubs typical of the hbitat, such as whitebeam and holly. Also sick trees, due to the fungus Armillaria, and the stumps have been cut and removed.
This spring, the work has stopped so as to not interfere with breeding birds and other animals. The work will start again as of the fall
